my 1996 f350 chatters at idle about 90% of the time my motor runs strong and tranny shifts fine its a 5 speed btw. what could this be'

 

My experience has been when the clutch starts chattering the clutch springs in the plate have become loose and it's time to replace it. One time it was because the pressure plate was wore out....but you'll replace it all at once anyway.
