I just bought this truck and now is says tbc fault and have nothing hooked up. Tried wigglen wires but nothing can anyone tell me what and how to check for something else. Thank you...shawn

 

How does the seven pin look at the back bumper?

 

Look's ok no visible damage

 

You know, if you are getting a fault message with no trailer attached and connections under the dash and at the back of the seven pin are good, I would have a dealer verify the TBC needs replacement or repair. I don't know of anything more you can do.

When I had that happen on my 06 it was the TBC.


I was just driving one day and it came on.


It is a plug and play module so if you are out of warranty you can do it yourself very easy.


I would take it loose and look it all over first before I swapped it.
