Smile Rear AC 1999 E 350 Van

Hi there. I have a 1999 E350 Ford Van. The rear AC actuator door is not working. I have temporarily fixed it in the open position but am looking for help with getting actuator out. Here is a short video so you can see what I am looking at.

Thanks in Advance for your assistance.

Wow----that's one tragic and completely needless hack job removing the interior trim----when time to replace it sticker shock might become a bigger issue.........that being said though pay attention here:

Above drawings and parts listing show the rear door available separately, part numbers should work to find said part(s), prices aren't current so disregard.

The rear heater case will most likely have to be removed from the van in order to split the case and replace the door. I do have other photos of the case uninstalled which might be helpful.

Thank you.

That parts list and diagram are really useful. thank you. So basically you have to take that entire housing apart to get that door. If you have any more pictures that would be really helpful.

The system when working properly is excellent. I got the interior temp of the van down to 67 degrees last night on my way home when the outside temp was over 100.

I've been searching through my various locations where a few more detailed photos of the rear heater case are/might be stored----big zero so far.

I'll keep searching as I know they've not been deleted, simply filed somewhere that now escapes me. Sorry 'bout that............

Yes the case would have to come apart to replace the door. Its not a tough job and can most likely be done without draining the coolant or disconnecting the A/C system. Just go slowly to avoid causing more damage.
