truck died going down highway, now no start no crank
Truck died going 50 mph and would not restart. I turn the key to run and nothing. I can hear the injectors buzzing but it will not turn over or crank.
I CAN jump from the battery and the truck will crank. However it seems to be in limp mode. It will start off in 3rd gear and won't
Tow/haul light is flashing.
The wire harness that goes down to the fan clutch
is chewed up and frayed so I'm assuming that may have caused an issue. But i have unplugged the sensor to the fan clutch and it still won't start. I can hear the injectors buzzing but when I turn the key to crank it, it does nothing. Just clicks. I've cleared the codes and these keep coming back.

UPDATE:
I checked all fuses, grounds, and relays...all look good.
Code U1059 kept coming up after clearing codes which made me think it was the trans range sensor in the transmision.
So I replaced it, filled the tranny back up with fluid and cleared the codes. Still no start, no crank. U1059 kept coming back.
I finally gave up and took it to the dealer today. They called me back with an update of the diag... and told me that the trans range sensor needed to be replaced. (i told them i just replaced it).
The service guy asked me if i changed the harness to the trans range sensor, I said no i didnt.
He said that the harness probably needs to be replaced since the sensor should be good. Codes lead to communication of that sensor.
$700 for parts and labor to change the harness. Valve bodies need to be removed to access that harness, refill with fluid, etc. He said the tranny does not have to be removed.
QUESTION-
Is replacing that harness something that i can do myself???

I'm fairly skilled with working on cars/trucks and i have a pretty good collection of tools
Is this something I could handle on my own? does it require special tools, etc.?

Pretty much just an 8mm for the body and 10mm socket for the pan. Not all the bolts come out of the valve body. Im sure there is most likly a you tube of it.
You dont want to seperate the valve body just remove it whole.
Use a torque wrench when putting it back in so you dont distorte it.
