Question retro style roller lifters?

ok, i'm looking to possibly upgrade my 74 302 block i just picked up to take a roller cam. i've been looking into the retro fit roller lifters, and just not sure what i'll need... i've heard i need the spiders and dog bones, just as my 92 has, but dont even know how i'd mount them since there are no humps to even tap... i've read about the "linked" roller lifters, and have even heard that i can just use those, and not need the spiders or dog bones... can someone please help me out here?! possibly point me to a thread which explains the linked rollers and the standard rollers? as always, thanks in advance!
