Transmission Solenoid connector leak

While checking and cleaning connections to eliminate the cause of my engine stumble I noticed that the electrical connector that goes to the right side of the automatic transmission (E40D, '94 E-250, 4.9) has trans fluid in it. It looks like the fluid is leaking thru the connector and not around the o-ring. I assume trans fluid conducts electricity so I am wondering if anyone else has had this problem and what symptoms this problem might cause. I was going to service the trans anyway, so I guess I will be replacing the Solenoid pack at the same time. In the back of my mind I am wondering if this could cause the shudder/stumble i get when I accelerate on slight uphill grades. There are no codes.
