Ok Fella's you can stop drooling now, Meet the new addition to the household.
Brought her home yesterday, P.O. named her Curvy Shirley. She's a 1951 Five Star V8 Flathead 3spd and survived her first parade today!!
They look good, and some folks on here occasionally ask about fitting one on the rear since so many of our trucks don't have one. The width and height seem to be a nice match to the tailgate and fenders. Also they match nice from front to back.
Welcome to FTE!
In a parade the day after you bring it home. Nice!
Beautiful truck.
Why don't you open up that hood and doors and show us what you've got.

Tom. I'm not sure what the bumpers came from. I will try and find out, I have a friend who owns a rod shop and knows all things old.

My wife and I were actually on our way to the Toy Farm Mud Run in Pittsfield NH. We got sidetracked when we saw all the classic cars lining up for the parade and they waved us in line also.
Nice truck, you skipped all of the enjoyment of busted knuckles, mad wife etc.
Yup I know I skipped ahead a little bit, I'm busting knuckles now on my '65 mustang 2+2. I just finished a nut and bolt resto on my '70 triumph that took almost 2 years. I've been looking at early ford pick-ups off/on for several years, this one came up local for a good deal. it's not perfect so I will be busting knuckles on it at some point.
