2004 f150 Heritage INSTRUMENT CLUSTER replacement
My truck decided one day to not start and when I took it to the Ford garage they said I needed a new cluster and said it was going to be $900! and cant tell if theres anything else wrong until its fixed. My question is, do I need a INSTRUMENT CLUSTER specific to a 2004 Heritage or can I use any 2004 f150 CLUSTER? I was looking at a "AUTO METER 7010 REPLACEMENT INSTRUMENT CLUSTER" from autohance.com but in the submodel tab it says SVT LIGHTNING. your thoughts would be great!

Probably compatible with the 03, for certain, earlier years back to 99, maybe or maybe not. 97-98, absolutely not.
In any event, you cannot simply swap out a cluster on any of the PATS-equipped F150s since the cluster is part of the PATS system and the system MUST be reprogrammed when either the cluster or the PCM is replaced.
