Gooseneck ball stuck!

Hi guys, I recently bought an 05 F-350 SRW and it has a Blue Ox hitch Blue Ox Diamond Hitch - Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch - 30,000 lbs Blue Ox Gooseneck DH1201. Problem is that I can't get the hitch released to invert it. I've tried cleaning the years of caked on mud, hammered the crap out of the release pin, soaked it in PB Blaster, heated it with a torch, and still can't get that damn pin to release so I can rotate the ball and invert that sucker! Does anyone have any suggestions? I won't be towing with the gooseneck a ton, but I don't want to remove the hitch completely.

About the only thing to suggest is what you have done already.

Soak it again and give it a day or two and try again.

Yea that, keep soaking it for a few days, I have had some amazing results on rusted stuff with Kroil penetrating oil.

I would take a large pipe wrench and try to turn the ball each way to see if I could take some pressure off of the release.

I don't know how accessable stuff is under your bed, but if you can get at things with an air chisel with a short, blunt shank in it, the vibration generated by that just might break things loose. Just hold the blunt point against the side of the ball socket under the bed, or maybe even from within the bed from above.......probably worth a try.

My B&W was stuck flipped down (I know different hitch). I soaked like you did and hit from underneath with a large dead blow hammer to get it out. Do you have access to a goods trailer? If so couple it up then use the jacks to pull it out while you hit possibly?
