2011 6.2 issue

Hey just wanted to ask if anyone has had any issues with the 6.2 where the drivers side catalytic converter would start vibrating/shaking while under load. I've noticed it off and on over the last few months but it seems the hotter outside it gets the more it does it. If I kick the A/C on and leave it in drive and put the parking brake on it shakes and vibrates but just on the drivers side. I have no codes and I just did the spark plugs about 500km ago. It was doing this before the plugs.

Any ideas on what else I could test for? I booked it into ford in a few days just trying to get an idea of what would cause this. Could it be the cat going bad? Or maybe coil pack? Truck is at 103,000km now so out of warranty. Another thing i've noticed is that I have 5 star tuning and while it does this on stock mildly if I load 87 economy it becomes louder and 87 performance even louder again.

Hey airm4n,

Thanks for posting about your concern. I'm more than happy to look further into this and see how I can help. Please PM your name, VIN, the dealer you've scheduled an appointment with, and best daytime phone number, and I'll get started.

From your description somethings loose. The catalyst may have broken loose internally. Or the heat shield has rotted and the clamps have loosened up. Its covered under warranty.

Yea I was hoping it would be heat shield and it was a bit loose so i threw on some stainless steel hose clamps and it made no change in the noise.
