I see, its my mistake, I thought all along you said the airbag light was flashing. Maybe you have a bad speed sensor. Never mind all that prior commentary.. :O

Recall on Cruise Control

There is a Recall on the 97 F150 Cruise control because it can fail and start your rig on fire.

Go to a Ford Dealership and have the cruise fixed so your truck doesn't decide to burn down.

The ABS light is on because the ABS system failed self test. Check the rear diff sensor with an ohmmeter to see if it has failed. Most common cause.

The cruise system doesn't work because there is a fault in the cruise system. Check the deactivator switch on the master cylinder. Check F13. Get the cruise recall done to keep your truck from burning up.

The ABS and the cruise system problems are not related to each other.

I

I've read through alot of the posts and still haven't found any great way to boost the millage on my 4.6. I have an Acess Larado cover and a K and N and I am ordering a Gibby supper truck exhaust tommorow from Summit. Is there any other mods worth there price to up the millage?

When little cars are stuck in the snow I am proud to fuel up the old Ford but other days Id like to drive by a gas station or two.

Well I have a Ford Taurus that only gets 21 around town. I dont know how much more you can expect to squeeze from a 4.6

The 4.6 in these trucks get alot worse than a Taurus. Mine only gets about 13-14 depending on my mood and how heavy my foot is. I am looking for a supercharger to boost mine.

there was recently a recall on the cruise control on many ford models, the 97 f15o one of them, check with your dealer about recalls on your truck.

Does the blower run when you shut off vehicle? Sounds like classic water intrusion in the fusebox and Gem module from a windshield leak.
