Those are some great looking running boards guys! I appreciate all the feedback! I'll share some pics when I get mine installed. As far as painting them goes, I'm assuming they will just need a good scuffing, primer and paint?

Thanks!

Jon

I hate to admit it, but it's been 10 years and I still haven't painted mine. The gelcoat has some scratching but very minor. I will likely have them sprayed in place with bedliner. They look fine with nothing!

So I got my running boards in today!!!! I have a question regarding the boards.

Is this board the driver side board? There's a notch that I'm assuming goes in behind the front fender.

This is the notch I'm talking about, does it go in behind the driver front fender?

Without going out to verify, I'm pretty sure it goes to the rear. The filler piece between the front fender and RB's mounts on the vertical surface.

edit: yep, this is the front

Thanks Ross,

Was it you that said you hadn't painted your fiberglass boards? I'm thinking on just leaving mine as well unpainted.

Thanks!

Yep, although this thread has made me think about getting them rhino-coated.

I'm thinking of maybe doing the same with mine , I thought about going no paint, but I may have talked myself into rhino lining them.

Thanks again Ross,

I appreciate everything!

One last favor to ask on here.....can anyone snap me a pic of where the bolts are located on the front and rear fenders where the running board bolts the two together? When I got my truck the fenders had body work done to them where the bolt holes had rusted out and the patches put in place have no holes to identify where to bolt the running boards(running boards are fiberglass so no holes in them either).

Thanks a million!!

Jon

I did it to mine, well Herculiner instead of Rhino. I really like it.

My running boards are on, now it's just time for some for some Herculiner on them and my filler pieces between the front fender and boards. Later I may add some step plates under the door.

Thank you guys for all of your help!!!!!! I wouldn't be anywhere without this forum!!
