Restoring hinge pocket in 1973 F100
Hi all,
I am restoring a little at a time a 1973 Ford F100 shortbed. I have a new/used tailgate in pretty good shape except the hinge pockets are worn, especially the pocket portion facing upward when the tailgate is up.
I think the best solution might be to cut or grind out the existing pocket and weld in a tube or pipe machined to the correct diameters.
Does anyone make a repair kit like this? Thanks.
