Vibrations at 50mph+

So I recently purchased a 96 extended cab 4x4, however on the way home I noticed the wheels having a terrible camber to them. I had it towed back home (almost 300 miles, talk about expensive) and it ended up only needing two new ball joints. Today I finally was able to get the truck registered and was able to drive it. I was going on a short trip today, only about 10 miles or so, however, during part of the trip the speed limit is 55 mph. While nearing 50, a horrible vibration started to occur and only got more intense as speeds climbed. I intentionally brought the speeds up to around 70mph to see if the vibrations would get worse or settle down and unfortunately they did get worse. This was all while the front hubs were set to "free" and in 2wd of course. My initial thought is u-joints, however would they be the ones in the axle or in the driveshaft or am I sounding stupid here. I'm not a mechanic by any means, but if I can get down to the mystery being solved, YouTube can show you how to do a lot of things, and a knowledgable fath who can help as well. The vibrations are not in the steering, but more the cab, bed, etc., almost like a massage in your seat while driving down the road. Does this sound like u-joints or something else?

I think you are on the right track. It also could be the carrier bearing.
I would suggest have a good drive line shop replace all the ujoints and carrier bearing and balance the assembly. That will make sure the drive line is in tip top shape and will last a long time.
Congrats on the new truck! Pics are always a good way to associate user with the rig in question lol

welcome to FTE.
i have to agree on drive line, it sounds to me like you have a bad universal in the rear drive shaft, a bad carrier bearing, or a balancing weight got knocked off the rear drive shaft.

not to hijack or anything but i have a similar sounding problem with my truck except mine will start to vibrate or shake once i hit around 70 and seems to get worse as speed increases. maybe i also have bad u-joints or carrier bearing? interested to hear what you did and what/if it fixed anything
