Smile one more reason 7.3's are great

I was feeling it was time to replace my front pads and rear shoes on my '96 7.3 CC LB dually 5 speed as I'm getting ready for a cross country trip late summer. I had just completed a fuel bowl rebuild and fuel pump replacement and was running out of time so I dropped the truck off to a buddy's shop for the brake job. I've had the truck since new so I know the miles are mine alone and it now has 257,642 mile on the OD I went ahead and purchased from Ford, the OEM replacement parts. The original pads/shoes still had approx 30- 40% wear still there when we looked. I'm just amazed at going that long between replacements. Here's to the 5 speed OBS. Keep on Truck'n

Wow, that's impressive. Ford did its part with quality components, but you did yours with a reasonable driving style as well.
