With the way road conditions are worsening across the US, seems to me one would want to go in the opposite direction to get away from lousy road surfaces.

Not sure if you've ever been to Houston, but it's horrible. Downtown Houston is not the place to go of you're tuckin' 28s.
And Houston is currently undergoing an infrastructure overhaul by expanding 290, currently making the city of traffic even worse. But im more than likely going to just get 26s and not have rubber bands for tires.

I agree with the people saying that if its done right and doesnt look like a hack job, then i like it and respect the person for putting the work into the vehicle. Lifted, lowered, etc.

I love my '90 SCSB Lariat 4wd thats levelled on 31's but would someday like to accompany that with a RCSB 2wd thats lowered a few inches to suck up the wheel well gap. Both trucks would look good and have their specific purposes.

Something like these but an 8th generation:

I really like my old American iron for that reason. Almost nothing made today will soak up the bumps of a bad road like a 60's-80s big American car. The tall narrow soft tires and rather long suspension travel, combined with a huge sprung to unsprung weight ratio make for a ride only bettered by the most expensive luxury cars today.

Since we're on the subject of dropped trucks, here's what I want for my truck, except 8th gen. (Not saying I wouldn't want a slantnise)

How does that turn a corner and/or what's under the hood?

How about something more like this?

As for under the hood, I'm not too sure other than that it has a really mean sounding cam while idling.

Any dropped truck fans?

I've been wanting to lower my '90 rclb with the belltech 2/4 drop. I thought about doing a 3/5 but that's a bit too low for me. Anyone have a 2/4 drop?

Leaky the magic turtle

Previous owner had lowered it. I have no idea what the drop is or what was used. Doesn't ride bad at all. I would love to restore/mod/fix up the truck one day. It has a ton of miles and serves as my beater. If it lasts for a good while and my mustang gets finished it will get the treatment next.

Looks nice!
Needs more wheel, and less tire gap!
Just my preference,though 😆

Prior owner did the wheel and tire setup. I would like a 17 inch and good tire on it. Maybe in the future.

Sorry, I'm rather intoxicated. ....
Well I was trying to restrain myself. I don't understand it, or the 4*4 trucks with 22" rims and the real low profile thin tires. Enough hate for ya? I'm just an old stuck in my ways codger.
