After further research the std 5.0 has powder forged rods. The Boss has upgraded sinter-forged rods and the Aluminator has Manley® H-beam connecting rods.
It's been several years since I've had an engine built. I didn't realize there were so many different types of forged rods. I don't think there was back then??

I got some bogus info in the engine forum. "If you read it on the internet it must be true."

Here's a link to a Hot Rod discussion of powder-forged rods: The Power of Powder. Interesting. So, what kind forged rods do the 3.5 EB's have?

I have not found a lot on the material of the 3.5l EB con rods. They are for sure am I beam rod which I am sure are forged.
This article shows the internals of a stock 3.5l EB and lists the rods as forged steel I beams. I don't know if they are forged from a chunk of steel or are forged from powdered metal. (powdered steel)

Also listed as "forged steel" here.(chart 1/3rd way down)
