55 ford donar car questions

I have bought a 1955 ford f100 . It is body and frame only . In am looking for a doner car preferably an 2008 and up mustang my question is . how hard is it to use the front end and rear end out of these cars. IE installation , is there any one that works better than the other . al information will be very much appreciated , as this is the most important step in the project

Your call but why not look at Flatout Engineering's kits that use corvette suspension. Mate it with a corvette drive train and good to go. all bolt in parts.

I am a purest in some sense of the word I like ford in ford Chevy in Chevy and dodge in dodge , refuse to buy anything that is not in at least the sense of the word vendor correct

I know a lot of guys are buying the crown Vic's, not real sure about all the swap out parts, I used a 8.8 from a 96 explorer 3:73 gears pretty much a bolt in

I'm not sure about the late model Mustang IFS. They sell a lot of aftermarket replacement sets for the Mustang itself, like the Mustang II IFS, I wonder if the 'originals' are too flimsy to use on the trucks. If it were me I'd go with the Crown Vic instead, heavier, stronger, more readily available and probably a lot cheaper to buy.
