Follow up to my gas tank removal project



Here she is on the table awaiting opening




Here is the sending unit. The float has disintegrated. could not find it in the tank. You can tell by the looks of the this what the inside looks like.




After removing it from the brackets, I flipped it over while cleaning it off and find this!! Some time in the last 50 yrs some body patched a hole in it!!! It may never leak but I think I will just be safe and get a new tank.
