Towing upgrade, Hellwig Sway Bar or Timbrens?

Looking for a towing upgrade for truck in sig. I tow a 36' TT Outback weight 8200 lbs. unloaded. With the WD hitch set right and tires properly inflated (truck and trailer) I get some sway on interstate. I'm leaning towards the sway bar. What do you guys think. Unfortunately money IS a consideration, LOL. Thanks.

I tow a 31' 5th wheel now, but back not too long ago I had a 26' Layton that towed like a pig. I bought a Reese equalizer Hitch and added the Sway adapter to it and it killed 2 birds at one time. The TT was pretty nose heavy, and was causing it to porpoise pretty badly which lead to Swaying. That hitch took care of both. It distributes the added weight more to the rear axle instead of the reciever. Do you have airbags?

The Hellwig Sway bar is for keeping your truck from rolling side to side not your TT.( ex a Big Camper, Axle wrap,Axle hop etc.)

Front or rear?

I upgraded my front from stock to helwig and I do like it but man is it a lot of money for a piece of pipe.

The answer to your question is : Neither.

What you want is a pair of Rancho XL which for $100 and 1h labor with no jack required is THE best upgrade you can possibly get for your truck.

When towing a fiver you dial those suckers to 9 and poof. No leaning even without a sway bar.

I still don't understand why folks who to 10k trailers use billsteins.

Cause they're great shocks, and I dont have to crawl under my truck and dial anything POOF. 75,000 miles on mine and still working fine. Got Ranchos on one of my other Fords, it works great too......Poof!
