Question on DPFE feedback sensor

I acquired an AFe delete pipe. It has the bungs so I figured I would transplant the sensors. Hahaha.... The DFPE pressure feedback fitting made about 2 turns then snapped off. I can find the part numbers for the exhaust gas sensors but not the fitting for the DPFE. I found the bracket, sensor and small black rubber tube on RockAuto but no one lists a part for the actual fitting that fits into the end of the CAT before the DPF. Does anyone know if there is such an animal or was the design changed and I need a newer setup? I know it is M14x1.5. I tried a Google search but no luck either...

Thanks,
Jeff

If it were me, I'd plug the bungs on the AFE pipe and repair the CAT.

Thanks, that is what I ended up doing. Tuned with the X4. Problem with repairing the CAT is that I still need to find the part. Still no luck with the searches. Guess I will stop by the local dealership next week and see what they can get.

Jeff

The dealership can get you a new CAT. What is wrong with an exhaust shop? I guess I missed the part about not reusing the old fitting.

The CAT is not broken, I just need the fitting that screws into it. I am sure I can get the old piece out. I just need the new fitting. If I ever sell the truck I want to have all the parts ready to go.

There are not many exhaust shops around here other than the big chains. I suppose I can see if they can get one as a last resort.

Sorry Jeff, I didn't mean the CAT was broken ... just that the bung needed mending. And for that I've no idea why you'd go to a dealership. I've never seen them attempt to mend something like that. They would sell you a new CAT. Any diesel tech shop could fix it and any exhaust shop could do it. I was thinking you would simply salvage the fitting and mend the weld. I find the EGT bungs on ebay. I can't recall what the fitting looks like for the back pressure sensor. You could look on eBay and contact the seller for those EGT sensor bungs and ask him about getting a replacement for your CAT. If the bung simply twisted away from the CAT they should be able to repair it. I don't see why not unless it got pretty banged up.
