It's an easy hike. We do it every mother's day, it's kinda a tradition of sorts lol. Every year the last portion of the trail is flooded and we wade thru the water, normally two of my sisters fall into the water and get totally soaked because they try to not get wet lol.
And yes we are an odd family to go and wade thru cold water lol.

Prayers coming to your B-I-L, Micah.
Happy Mother's Day to everyone. I'm smoking a pork shoulder for my wife. My oldest daughter, Salena, picked up the Dairy Queen ice cream cake a few hours ago. Susi isn't feeling well. She's been fighting a cough and chest congestion for a couple of weeks now. Doctor can't do anything for her because it's viral, not bacterial, so it'll just have to run its course. Susi found out a neighboring school had over 50% of its students come down with narovirus(?) or something. She isn't sure what it is or how to spell it, so that's my best guess. Anyway, it's serious enough that the Health Department is investigating possible causes.
Enjoy your family hike, Micah. If your sisters fall in, I want to see the video. Should be good for a laugh. My sister is still in CA and my brother is in WI, so we haven't any family activities for many years. It would be nice to see someone having a good time with their siblings.
Since you're doing some projects, I'll throw this out to you. I have always wanted to construct an at-home car wash apparatus. Something that is portable and can be connected to a pressurized water source. It would have multiple posts and crossbars for the water to spray the vehicle. Think of an automated car wash place connected to a garden hose, and that should get you close to what I'm thinking about. Connect the hose, turn on the water, and drive the vehicle underneath. It could knock off some of the heavier dust and dirt before you start hand-washing. Just a thought I've had for a while now. You could even connect a pressure washer to the apparatus for greater cleaning power.
And, yeah, I'm sure "suck" turned into "duck" because of Autocorrect.

Yeah you can pat, as long as you have good Internet you can watch them. You may have to enable Microsoft silver light though. But that's how I used to watch the shows till I bought the fire box.
The hike was good and fun, however this was the first time in about 6 years of doing this hike there wasn't any water on the trail! It was all dry. That means I am not looking forward to how dry it will be this year.
But on of the sisters still managed to face plant on a little itty-bitty tree root she tripped over lol.
And my other sisters boyfriend rocks, he loaded up his pack with beer so us men would have something to drink lol
