Note that there are very few pictures of the living quarters, and the ones that are there are not very impressive, doesn't look like much money was lavished on it, so it likely is a 20 car garage with a house attached. By the stains on the garage floor it look like it was used to park cars in. Maybe housed some wealthy guy's collection and the house was for a caretaker/mechanic/security guard?

One can only dream.....
I have a 4 stall garage that I keep very clean and organized but with all my fab equipment and such, I can only fit my '49 and Momma's Honda. My F-150 and Exploder live outside. The clear coat on the F-150 has started to peel.... A 20 stall unit would suit me just fine.....

My wife and I have considered building a large pole barn with a nice apartment in part of it and the rest used to house a camper and any toys we decide we can't do without. My wife likes to dabble in woodworking and upholstery. She retires later this year and we may finally get serious about it.

When we built our retirement house here in Prescott we had the same basic idea but not the room to have a 20 car garage. That house must have belonged to a single guy. When the wife and I designed the house we both got what we wanted. I have a 1500 sq ft. shop, theater room, office, and bathroom downstairs and she got whatever she wanted upstairs. She even lets me come up once in a while. She even has her own garage so all of her crap stays out of my shop. Both the wife and I think that we built the perfect retirement house.
Here is a picture of my wife's workshop.
And this is mine.
And what it looks like from the outside.
