with 7 ht carb but not running good
anyone have an idea for a modern carb

You can rebuild it fairly cheap:

Holley 847 Carburetor Rebuild Kit (4080S) -

Here is a video of the rebuild (I didn't watch the whole thing for accuracy):


You should be able to get it running like new!

I will like know if i t s possible to mount a modern carb.

 

I cannot answer your direct question about substituting a modern carb.

However, if you successfully rebuilt your existing carb and the engine is not running well, a modern carb will not correct the underlying issue as the carb is not the issue.
