Actually this has grown to be a pretty significant show, right at 300 vehicles of all types. Saw BobbyT there and some other friends too.

Hey Ross,
Some beautiful trucks & then you end with that.... Hmmmm... I like the front wheels tucked inside the fenders by a foot. What is that gizmo hanging out the window? Some sort of swamp cooler A/C?

Looks like you had a great day!

Good eye, Ben. That right there is an S-10 frame swap, with a very large SBC with dual quads on a tunnel ram... and a swamp cooler on the window, because that makes it "old skool". You'd think with foot-wide rims in back he could have gotten the offset to get them near the fenders.

The owner was mighty proud of his frame swap, and it seemed to have been done as well as you could. Hey, he drove it there, more than you can say for most frame swaps.

Hey Ross,
You should nudge the owner of the S-10 swap over to
that beautiful green Mercury - see if he sees any difference.
This a lovely time of the year for a nice car show - that looks to be
about the right size for me.

Did you enter your nice truck?

S10 chassis just does not work with the 48-52 for obvious reasons, Dakota would of been a better choice. Fake patina looks.....fake.
Wish we could get nice weather here for a car show, so far it still feels like winter!

The show was great this year! A lot more Ford trucks than in years past. I'm glad Ross took some pics. I got to talking and visiting with people and didn't take a single picture.

Bobby

....S-10 chassis are way too narrow for our trucks, heck, the S-10 chassis is way too narrow for an S-10

S10 works in some situations, I put one under my 37 Buick slantback. I would not do it again.
