Took the cracked & leaking (front only) Aluminum Real Wheels off
Bought 16x12 Cragar D window Series 42 STEEL Wheels, had them cut & widened (bands) locally, 5" to 16x17"
I wanted to have them powder coated but just couldn't afford $600 after EATING well over $3 grand on the cracking Alum rims & all the headaches,
So I sanded, primed, sanded & sprayed them Bright Metallic Silver :
Painted Rims are Very Disappointing coming from Polished Aluminum
I put MTZ tires on Steel Rims today & mocked up for pix.
I gotta get em computer balanced.
They should be a lot stronger & not crack like the cheesy alum units.
The Old School Custom Widened 16"x17" Steel Wheels are still holding up FINE that replaced the cheesy WEAK Real Wheels : ( 16x14 16x15 16x16 16x17 ) Wide Wheel Lovers
Thanks PhotoJUNK for dropping all the 3rd party pix :

Scratch that, the left frt widened steel wheel kept cracking & leaking air.
after having it rewelding it 5r6 times, I give up & bought a set of 20x14 MoTo MeTal M0401 one piece forged wheels
Drives much better with 3” narrower wheels & tamer Tread is 50% Quieter
