Since the oxygen sensor isn't used until the engine warms up and enters open loop, you might as well price out a sensor and send me a check. Your truck won't know the difference.
So got the truck muddy today(look at my Detroit locker thread) so I went to wash it afterwards, opened the hood because of course some how mud gets all through the front wheel well liners and it splashed right on top the motor and all under the hood. Power washed the good off and whipped off the intake tube with a soapy rag, finished like an hour later and went to drive home, truck fired right up idled normal. I leave my shop and get to about 15mph and the dam death shake comes back except this time it stays up till 40mph and for about two miles. Stop at a stop light and it's now doing it at idle leave the stop light and it's still missing or whatever it's doing. So I put her in neutral shut the truck off and then start her back up, put her in drive and hit the skinny pedal and ITS NOW FINE!!!!!!!! Like what the F is going on with my truck? I'm so sick of this issue I think I'm just gonna call my dealer tomorrow make an appointment and then get bent over and well you know From the monstrous bill they will give me
no, owned the truck since day one and never had an issue when i was my motor, and i didnt wet the motor this time, i only power washed the hood and very little water got on the motor
lets say water did get down into the spark plug, why would the truck do this in the mornings like its been when it doesnt rain, or any water gets on the motor at night?

I misunderstood, thought you washed the engine off instead of the hood.
yea i know i have the fuel pressure gauge on the back seat but pulling over and opening the hood in 95* heat yesterday wasnt looking very good to me. im gonna hook the fuel pressure gauge up before i start the truck today and see what happens
and bently i did the oring mod three weeks ago now plus used a lot of dielectric grease at the plug, cop, and all around the oring where it meets the head
Put an electronic fuel pressure gauge in so you can watch it. You are not going to find your problem by waiting for it to act up and then installing the gauge.
Hooked my fuel pressure gauge up, truck is idling at 30psi isn't that low?, and only jumps to 40psi when i pull the throttle body arm? GM trucks idle pressure is 55-60psi from the ones ive worked on. Also when I hit the relief valve on the gauge and I get a ton of steady bubbles in the clear hose, that's not good right!!!
