Help, having trouble with fuel

I have a 81 150 with a 302 I'm not getting any fuel to my carb. Recently replaced my carb, it ran fine till the other day. I cranked my truck up to let it warm up, cranked just fine idled for a minute then it slowly died. Thought I ran it dry so I pour some gas in the front tank (it was running on rear), and was pouring dome into the carb trying to get it cranked (ran along as there was gas in the carb). Pull the fuel line at carb, to check mech pump, didn't pump any fuel. Replaced that still didn't work so i pulled my lines at the selector valve on the frame rail, had no fuel on either side or line. What could this be really need help as its ny daily driver

Your fittings on the sending unit on top of the tank may have rusted off. Did both tanks used to work?

Yes they did, now nothing. Seems unlikely to happen to both at same time, no?

If you have no fuel at the valve anywhere, then you most likely have some sort of tank problem. If you are not sure, pick a tank you know has fuel in it, and hook it up straight to the line going to the front, bypassing the valve. See if the fuel pump will suck any fuel up front like that.

Cracked fuel line upstream of the fuel pump (between the fuel tanks and the fuel pump) will cause the fuel pump to suck air.

Because it's subjected to a lot of vibration and flexing, the piece that runs from the frame to the motor is often the culprit.
