My Dad just bought a 1990 Bronco XLT. It's pretty much bone stock with a 302ci 4X4 but the previous owner put a ford 9" rear w/ 4:11 auburn posi lock in it.. The question is.. whats the bigges tires we can put on it with stock wheels and no lift. We are looking at the Firestone Destination M/T or the Bridgestone Dueler M/T (which I have on my 2000 F-250 SD)... any help would be great..
I'm running 32" BFG's right now. They rub a little on the front sway bar when parking or making real tight turns offroad but nothing major. That's probably the biggest you can run without serious rubbing....without a body or suspension lift.
I run 33x10.50 on my 90 bronc with stock suspension (actually 285/75/16, but that's about 33x10.50 for a 15" rim). They will rub a bit at full lock but no problems otherwise. They look pretty good too, fill the wheel wells nicely.
