Thanks guys! '150six, had to post it because it's refreshing to have a shop deliver on what they promise... seems a bit rare at times.

You have an awesome looking truck, even if you call it a 30 footer

Update: lights

Found some classic KC lights on eBay - the 57 series (five by seven) rectangular lights have been discontinued, and they only sell the big 6x9s and 4x6s. I think the 57s are the "right" look for the truck though and found a pair off eBay (nos).

Found the black soft covers separately...

To mount them I'm using - believe it or not, these little babies: bumper light brackets that I have had in a toolkit, unused since about when I graduated high school.

Here's how they look, one of each light cover to show the difference in look.

Everybody's going to the LEDs now but I'd like to stay with the "old school" look without it being over the top.

I like the drivers side cover better. What bulbs came in those? I had a small set of PIAAs with 55w that were almost useless, 100w made a big difference

Have you upgraded your alternator? With the two KCs, your headlights, running lights, brake lights, A/C clutch, blower, ignition and stereo, you likely will exceed the normal ~60A alternator output.

I agree, the driver's side looks better IMO. And great placement of the lights, looks like they belong there.

Try www.car-part.com - it will search the salvage yards for you. You can use 1980 - 86 and actually the 87-96 will fit as well

Hmm. Thanks for pointing that out. These are the 55w version so I didn't think that it would be that close to the limit. I don't have AC so that solves part of the problem .

Thanks for the feedback on the placement and covers - that's two votes for the ones on the right. Hmm. I was liking the ones on the left but that's probably because I graduated high school in '87 so they look normal to me

Here's a pic with covers off:

I would have to vote for the passenger side cover. That truck is looking really nice.
