Thanks Andre, the truck is perfect. It was exactly what I was looking for....plus the wifey and son liked it.
Do not lead me into temptation, I can find it myself.
Hub caps arrived today.
With the perfect patina.
I just pulled the bench seat out of a '94 F150 I have as a parts truck sitting in my back yard. The seat cushions smelled a little musty, but they are in good shape.
I should have taken pics earlier in the process, but this is how you get the nasty out of seat cushions.
You need one large tote and then put in 15 gallons of warm water, 2 cups of Simple Green and half a cup of bleach. Drown the cushions a third at a time. Make sure you get the cushion completely saturated. Here is the not so fun part, once you are done soaking the cushions pull one end of the cushion out of the tub. While you are lifting the cushion out of the tub (don't lift too hard or you will rip the cushion because its loaded with 5 gallons of water) have a helper (wife) squeeze the water out. Keep lifting and squeezing the water out and then lay the cushions on some of saw horses to drip dry for a few minutes. Dump the water out of the tote and then one at a time, use the tote to carry the cushions to your washing machine.
You may not want the wife to see this part.
Start with one end and stuff the cushion around the agitator. DO NOT USE THE WASH OR RINSE CYCLE! All we want to do is full the tub half full and then go to the spin cycle. You could just run the cushion on the spin cycle but I wanted to get some of the Simple Green rinsed out of the cushion.
Now all you need is your adoring fans and the saw horses.
The reason I did this is the price of just the seat cushion bottom, not the back, is $300 from NPD.
Now you're going to tell me how cheap cushions are from _________
Oh well, it's done now and they smell a lot better.
Have a good evening.

I'm just using the washer for it's spin cycle to wring out as much of the water as I can before air drying them so I'm not being really hard on the machine.....it just looks funny stuffing an entire seat cushion in the washing machine. It's just like cleaning a big sponge. The bleach and Simple Green kills any germs, it's just like shocking a pool.

Thanks for the complement Gerry!
Before I got the truck my plan was to do a CV swap and put in a 302. This truck is so intact and unmolested I'm going to keep it mostly stock. The wife prefers the floor shifter so that will stay. Otherwise it's getting cleaned up, fixed up and driven a lot.
Here you go Gerry.

I gotta bunch of new parts to play with, so I should be busy.
It should be a nice weekend.
Have a good evening guys.
