Same state. One to consider.

Anyone have an opinion of what the second one I listed above should be bought for? I made an offer a few days ago and was told "NO". lol

The 51 Jason linked is a good candidate. Certainly, it needs some work - but you'll not be undoing others' mods.
Ah, I learn more each day. They say this one is a 1951 though.
December 2004 Truck of the Month - 1951 Ford F-1 F1 Pickup

I forgot to mention. I did have a 1956 Ford F100. I put in a 390 with an automatic behind it. Wish I had that one back. lol

Goes to show you how even the F150 people can be fooled.

Hmmmm ..... "Bone Stock"

No fan shroud.... Blue engine.. indicated rebuilt 'switched motor'

Dual exhaust..... I don't recall that being original

White spoke wheels... I didn't see that in the parts book for 51

Very minor rust ... with the rust through around the gas filler, I would sure wonder why he made sure NOT to show the cab corners and the bottom of the doors???

This does look like it could be a really nice candidate, but from what I see, his "already a bargain" price is about $2-3K too high, depending on what he is not showing.

With that said, I don't blame these guys for asking what they do, I would (will) do the same thing, after all, thanks to these crazy TV shows we have learned that there are a lot of folks out there with more Dollars than sense.

Here's a 48 locally. This guy has been trying to sell this truck for over a year. If memory serves me right, the price has come down some. Looks like it could use 4 fenders and a nose. I had thought about making a offer on it if he would take that Chevy motor out of it. lol Probably more work than I want to get into at the time.

Keep looking. That thing got disassembled - or never reassembled - for a reason.

Here is another. The pics don't show me a whole lot. He told me all the fenders and rest of the sheet metal is all there. Opinions?

You'll need to look at this one. Project cases like this are tough to assess - the pics are about worthless.

Remember after all the emissions stuff came into effect? Well, Ford quit making the full size mustangs and started making what we all called the Mustang II with little 4 cylinders and V6's. I haven't seen one on the road in years. Not sure where they all got off to but lets just say they were a piece of junk. lol

Thanks. I know what a Mustang II is/was. And I've seen several reports of installing Mustang II type IFS. But this is the first time I've seen a reference to a Mustang II rear end in one of these trucks.

Is that an 8.8" rear end?

Sorry, some folks never heard of a Mustang II. To my knowledge the Mustang II only had an 8" inch rear. Not the best to put behind a modern high HP V8 in my opinion.

Yes it was an 8" rear ( just a smaller version of the 9" ) . But it also only had 4 lug axles.

They worked fine behind a stock to mild V8 from the 90's or older.

And don't bash the Mustang II's!! They were also offered with a 302 V8( a weak one but still a V8 ) . They are a fun car with a built V8 or turbo 4 cylinder. If it wasn't for them, the Mustang may not of still been around today.
