It's actually AutoCAD Mechanical. Not sure why we run that, but it's what we run. I do have Inventor loaded on my PC, but it doesn't run right. The IT department is supposed to sort that out soon. I keep hearing rumors that I'm going to get an upgrade and our scheduling guy is getting my machine.

We are going to be making a switch from the AutoCAD platform to the ESRI ArcGIS platform seeing that we will be maintaining our maps in a GIS environment.

Cool! I've done a little in PL/1. Our old stuff here is all COBOL. Still have some IMS but mostly all DB2 now. Have quite a few web applications that are pulling data from the mainframe now too.
I've tried escaping the mainframe world a couple times, but I keep getting sucked back in. There are not many folks under the age of 45 that know the technology. I guess it's job security.

OK, I was not aware that there was a Mechanical version out there. I downloaded AutoCAD Map 2016 yesterday and that is what you see me running.

28" diagonal measurement. HDMI capable flat screen, though.
I think it would be cheaper...lol

Yup, and I love it. Last place I was at, I had this little square flat screen deal, might have been a 18" or something. It sucked.
I would love having 2 screens, but I have no desk space left for it!
