The radar cameras are in the 65mph zone, and my testing has determined they don't flash you unless you are more than 10mph over. That is plenty fast enough through the mess that is known as I-29 through Sioux City.
Sorry, I thought maybe you missed it! Man, that has to be a PITA. So, you have to move it if she's chalked it? Or, do you just rub off the mark?
Yes and YES. Luckily I get here at 9 so I go and move it around 11. I usually go out for lunch and take the truck. When I get back at 1, park it and then I do not have to worry about it. She is done with her work day at 3 so it really is not too bad.
I have seen where some people have rubbed the chalk off and she has on occasion given them a ticket because at times she will mark down in a book where a vehicle is parked. I figure it is better to be safe than sorry.

The wife got busted by those cameras on I-29 going through Souix City a few years ago!

You would think since you work down there, that they could issue a parking permit, or something for you guys.

There is a municipal lot right behind the building but during the winter it is not plowed very well. By the time I get in here, it would be a 5 minute walk to make it into the building. Park out on the street and at least there is a fighting chance that I will be within a few spots of the entrances to my building.
It will be interesting to see what happens at the end of the year. The village is dissolving and the town is taking over. The police department is a village department and the town is not going to be taking over that service. The law enforcement will be provided by the sheriff's department so I do not think that we will have to worry about the 2 hour parking after December 31st.
