Anyone have the "correct track" feature on their 5th wheel suspension ??
I have the starboard-forward tire showing extreme wear on the outside tread. All other tires are perfect.
Local suspension shop says a toe-in problem. I point out that I have "correct track". Isn't that used to correct this problem. "No, that stuff is junk" They have to drop the axle and bend it.
Thoughts??

I have it. The dealer should be able to measure the distance from dead center on the king pin to the same spot on each tire to check alignment. Then, if out of sync, they can kick one side or the other forward by rotating the cam in the Correct Track bracket. It actually does work as advertised if the folks doing the check and adjustment take their time with the measurement and dial it in. It's not infinitely adjustable though and you only have the 4 sides of the cam to choose from as far as spacing. Hopefully one of them will get you close enough to stop your wear issue.
Lippert claimed that all the dealers would buy into this and get their special laser measuring tool. None (or very few) did and if they do check, most will do it with a tape reel. XLR actually stopped installing it on their rigs because the dealer network that was promised to support adjustment never materialized.

For some reason the forum software is no longer recognizing youtube links and embedding the video? So, a link is all I can do. There must be a recent update at FTE. I've noticed a few other changes as well like the confirmation popup when you rep someone...

The correct track will not solve a toe issue. It can only only square up the axles to the frame. An issue that could be avoided by actually welding the spring hangers properly in the first place. But this is Lippert, so they just came out with this to cover their lack of workmanship. And it's an upgrade. LOL. Toe (and camber) are directly related to the axle tube itself and has nothing to do with suspension.
So yes to fix a toe issue the axle will need pulled and bent. Are you sure the wheel bearings are tight Roy? Loose bearings can cause weird wear also.

Doing a little catching up today since I'm homebound due to sickness. It's funny I should read this as Trent just asked me a few hours ago what truck I would buy in the "half ton" arena. I told him if I couldn't get a V8 F150, then I would probably go with the Dodge with the Hemi as I prefer eight cylinders and a good deal of power. The Chevy I believe you can still get with a 6.2, but I believe it is like Ford and has to be in the 250/2500s. One of my best friends had a Dodge with the 5.7 Hemi and gets pretty decent fuel mileage as well as being fun to drive and listen to. Around here the Eco-boost is split about down the middle as likes/dislikes, but I'm positive that a more throaty V8 could cure that😁
