2003 f250 front outer axle bearing
I noticed that my passenger outer axle is stuck to the wheel bearing assembly. I tried to unlock my hubs, reached in and the passenger side knuckle would not spin. I figured the hub was sticking so I remove the hub and the right side axle will still not spin free of the wheel. I think something went wrong with the outer axle needle bearing. When these bearings fail does it damage the outer axle shaft? I know I will need a new u joint, axle seal and needle bearing but not sure if I should just order a new outer axle too. I can not have it apart as I need the truck for my daily driver. I am going to order the axle seal tool also to get the alignment correct.

I can't say for sure, but it is probably a fair bet that the outer stub axle is worn. I unfortunately did not learn that the first time, or the second time, so I will be pulling mine apart again to put on a new stub shaft. I don't know who all sells them but I got mine from Drivetrain America for about $80 and their shipping was extremely fast.
I got into replacing mine because of a bad u-joint and failed wheel bearing assembly. Looking at it the needle bearing still looked to be in decent shape, but my stub shaft was/is wore enough to allow play.
