Half Way

Sent another payment back home to the friends that now own my 79 F150 4x4 after it came up for sale for the third time in a year, after I sold it to help pay for our move.
It's half paid off now, and we're trying to get back for a week or so this July and trying to pay it off when we're there, so hopefully I'll have Ka'Bluey here earlier this summer

Bob, not sure about the shirts. I picked up a 3 year membership earlier this year, and have been wondering the same thing.

What size is that crank bolt? I'll try to think of other ways I've broken them loose, besides the standard breaker bar/ impact gun. I may be able to swing by this weekend. I'll let you know if I can.

Hey Josh, that bolt is a 22mm, and my 22mm socket is 3/8" drive. As tight as this thing seems to be, I'm not sure if my Snap On 1/2" impact would bust it lose even if I did have an air compressor.

No Tony, I use KC Masterpiece original for BBQ Sauce. Just a nice light layer.

Good morning North Carolina.

Smarta$$ery not taken And I've been wondering about that myself. It's on my son's 95 Mitsubishi 3000GT. I love my old Ford more and more.
I don't think I've had a bolt kick me in the nads like this one is doing, in a long time. Then it was from a 100K Peterbuilt doing 3 axle alignments.

Is there any dealership around that you could ask them about it?

Good video, thanks for finding that one and posting.
We have tried the first method, and I guess we'll try the second and see what happens. I really don't think it's a left handed thread, just a way too tight bolt, maybe even some Lock Tight?

According to google. There was a big problem with the crank bolt coming loose. ????
Maybe a replacement was done previously and somebody didn't want the bolt to loosen again. Might have lock tighted it in.

Hey Marty, thanks but I have a small 1 gallon compressor that we've tried and failed with. Just not enough volume in that small tank to let a good impact hit vary hard or long.
