I am really thinking I need to get to RRE again this year.... so I have started looking at campers online...

Things I know:
1. More than likely going used...really don't have the funds for new unless I get a hell of a deal!

2. Looking to stay under $10,000
3. Bunkhouses - the girlfriends pesky 3 kids dictates this necessity
3a. - need one where the bunk hous eis seperable - ei curtain or door.

4. I figure 27'+ (based on my other demands looking to be 30-37')

5. I don't want to have to walk through the bathroom to get to either the bunks or the master bedroom

6. Prefer Travel trailer over 5th - would like to keep bed space for bicycles and like gear.

What am I missing and do you have any suggestions? (I know finish the truck first!)

haha, I'm not the camping God, that's for sure! I have always bought used, the price of new ones are crazy. I hope your girlfriend is like my wife, patience! This last 5er we looked for it for three years. When you see 'the one' you will know it. Look for the little things to see if it was well used, they are all full of problems so try to keep it to a minimum. I never wanted a pull trailer but I can see your point in wanting one. Most of the bunk houses have a door on them, that I've seen anyway. If you get a toy hauler you can make them a bedroom in the back and carry your toys. I don't like those walk thru bathroom either. The bigger the axles and tires the better. Look at the bottom if its covered to see if its been cut open to fix stuff. If possible operate the slides to see if they work OK. Important, look at the ceiling for water stains and look at the roof to see how good the condition is.

Good luck, my wife drove me crazy looking. I saw a lot of them I wanted to buy but I'm glad she held me back. We found one in excellent shape that wasn't used much and stored indoors. Also, a very good price compared to ebay, rvtrader, craig's list, etc. These are good spots to get a good idea of what they are worth. I never did like dealers, they like to stab you in the back.

Dang down to page three in a week! Picked up the IH dipstick adapter repair kit... $87 and change after taxes....

Should have just bit the bullet and bought the gold nugget!

Upside is I have enough red Loctite and gasket sealant to kill an elephant...

clean plenum Y - done
clean uvch - done
clean uvch - head mating surfaces - done
clean uvch - valve cover mating surface - done
knock off rust and prime frame horns - done
blow dirt out of valley - done

On the car I finished -
Find and replace exhaust leak - flex pipe - done
spark plugs - done
oil change -done
tranny fluid change- done
new rear drums - done
new rear brake shoes - done
rotate tires - done

Pictures to follow this afternoon...

Any negative effects from using this IE dropping out of lockup shutting off the cruise? I had a bulb out in mine and was doing all sorts of strange things, I'm just wondering if the low amp draw LEDs cause any ill effects?
