So just how cold is it where you live

I know you BC and Alberta guys will probably laugh at this, but we need a little levity every once in a while.
It's so cold it takes my whole ride to work of 13 miles to get to 192 Degrees, and that's with a winter cover and 3 hour soak with the block heater. If I dare to stop at MacDonald to get some breakfast it's good to loose 10 to 15 degrees easy, thank goodness for heated seats.
I have a 60 LB box of pig livers(for the dogs) on the floor of the garage, usually after a couple of days I can break it up and portion it off, it's been there for two weeks, still as hard as the cement it's sitting on.
Had to move all the pop into the fridge in the garage(that hasn't run in three months) to keep them from exploding, so now it's a warmer instead of a cooler.
My 8 year old Tibetan Mastiff who usually won't get off their couch is running around in the back yard like someone has been giving him energy pills, I have to go chase him down to get him inside to warm up every so often, he's like what, leave me alone.

5 deg this morning.

oil temp on the truck was 12F. Took about the same amount of time to get the temps up. Thank goodness for the supplemental heater.

This evening I stopped to load firewood. Maybe an hour and the temp was almost completely cold again.

Yep, minus 6 this morning at 4AM, -10 at 6:30, 2 at 1:30 in the afternoon, just plain chilly!

LOL, that's a good one, I have two families of squirrels in the tree in front of the house, haven't seen them in a while, must be too much work to dig through 8 inch's of snow to end up pounding on that frozen grass.

Unseasonably balmy 46 F. If this is global warming, then I will take it. Had a couple of weeks of -30, but this winter has been great so far. Only another three months to go!

14* here this AM in Georgia. There is a cold, damp feeling in the air. Yesterday at the station, a woman pulled in with a flat tire. Two other fire guys and myself were changing it for her and she says, "You know, I am from Canada. I've been here for 3 weeks and it is damned cold here!" She said that it was a type of cold that she wasn't used to. The temp itself, yes. The dampness in the air to go along with it, NO! Hell, I think all of us all across the country are COLD now!

A balmy -12 this morning, a buddy drives past Detroit Metro Airport every morning says his car thermometer dropped to -22 when he drove by it this morning. Supposed to go to 30 tomorrow with 4 inch's of snow, bring it on, we're having a heat wave, a tropical heat wave.
Lots of schools closed the last couple of days, funny I don't remember that crap when we were growing up, we always went to school.

2*F in Southeastern MA this morning, Haven't put a lot of miles on the 6.4 this winter, only about 1,000 since Turkey day. I am pretty sure that i will need to get new batteries after this winter, mine are original and im not having any issues yet but cant see them going longer than 5 years...

The coldest I saw around here was -18 last Friday morning. My brother saw -27 on his truck thermometer. Today it's 22 right now. I don't have a block heater on my 08, but it has started up every morning just fine. Twice though, the oil light came on for a brief second when starting. My 02 I keep plugged in all the time right now just so I can get in it and go when I need to, and have a warm truck pretty quick! My 99 hasn't been started since fall, and since it has summer fuel in it without any anti-gel, I suspect I would be better off waiting for a warm day before I try to start it!

I am ready for Spring!

You have a block heater, maybe not a cord but the heater is just above the starter, you might even have the cord also tucked behind the bumper on the passenger side.
