I'd be surprised if it were just me. Click on any craigslist link in this thread. Hover your mouse over the link and see that it goes to craigslist. I use Firefox, and for me automatically opens up the ad in a new tab. Open it and go back to the thread. For me, the link has changed to: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/null and if I click on it, I get a 404 error from FTE.

If I reload the page, the links are restored to point back to craigslist.

 

Maybe try the auto hubs, reach under and prove one of them isn't locked by spinning the ujoint, quote the price of ford esof hubs, negotiate the price a bit, then throw your favorite brand of manual hubs on it when you get home. Just one more possible negotiating point.

 

Good luck and just a heads up to make sure to have some extra money available for taxes, tags, registration, insurance, etc. Those items can add up!

He's paying cash to an individual bringing his own tag, insuring before leaving and paying taxes, title and new tag when he gets home in VA.

We just went through this when he was coming down to Florida to deal with Boris.

Yep! That was my point. Don't run yourself short on the purchase and not have funds available for the necessities associated with getting another vehicle.

It sounds like Apoc and others have given the buy a lot of thought so I am sure he has it covered.

OK boys (and girls), here's what's going on: (Also, hi! Thanks for everyone's help! I cannot tell you how much it means to Apoc & me.)

Apoc has the worst food poisoning he's had in years. His flight has been cancelled. The gentleman who owns the truck said that he's willing to take a wire transfer from our bank and has offered to hold the truck. We're probably going to have it shipped to Virginia if this works out. We've also already got somebody interested in his current EX.

In the meantime, Apoc sends his regards.
