Weekend Project Aux Tank Install

Well this is something I have been wanting to do since I bought my 2015. I have always had aux tanks in my past truck and I usually do not sell my spare parts when I swap trucks. When I sold my 2012 F250 to get my 2013 F350 DRW a friend REALLY needed my aux tank toolbox combo for a short wheel base. So off it went and I got me a new BIGGER Transflo toolbox/aux tank for a LWB. Here we are a year later and the 2013 F350 DRW LWB is gone and now back in a 2015 F250 SWB. Put all of my other add on's as soon as I got my truck, but no aux tank to install. I had put my Transflo Aux tank online locally to sale or trade for a aux tank for a short wheel base. Got lots of people waiting it but had to explain to them that it will only fit LWB or flatbed which I had stated in my online post. So with all that being said.... I have been driving between 800-1000 miles a week lately. Just got tried of filling up so often and got my hands on a 51 gal RDS aux tank/toolbox. Set it up to gravity feed into factory fuel tank. Added a clear inline filter for now, beings it was Mardi Gras weekend and we had other plans. Looking to put something nicer like Roy did on JGG or something of that nature. So far so good. No leaks No fuel cap warning.... Lessons learned.... It stated 51 gallons so why did I put 55 gallons. Well because it fit..... at the pump.... not driving down the road. So every time I would start and stop pass someone up, hit the breaks.....yep it came out of the breather line. So I plugged the breather line, closed valve feeding factory tank until I went down to around half a tank. Opened everything up and everything is working great..... Now for some pics.....

That is my plan.... Fill up mid week while I am on the road. Then be able to run around the rest of the week and all weekend. Not having to worry about filling up until the following week... It will also help on our family getaways when hauling camper or goose neck trailer full of ATV and SXS......

Appreciate your pictures. I am looking at adding a RDS tank to my truck in the next month. If anyone else has any input on installation practices I would appreciate your ideas.

No I did not....We had a full weekend of plans ahead of us so I had limited time...But on all my past aux tanks I have.....I already have the grommets BUT I seemed to have misplaced the proper size bit....Will revisit it next weekend to complete.
