I'm contemplating going with the 5" GPS screen so as not to block much of the view through the front windshield, but, I see that some of you guys have the 7" GPS screen.

Do you guys think that the 7" GPS screen blocks too much of the view?
Do you guys have pics of where it's mounted, and, what the view looks like from the driver seat?
I'd go for the 7" GPS screen if it's not going to cause a view issue.

Thanks,

I have a 5" screen and it works ok, but when I replace it I will go to a 7". I don't see the larger screen size being an issue, it's mounted on top of the dash next to the radio.

My NUVI died after doing an update. Called garmin and they said it basically was toast. Said there is a trade in program and that they will allow me $99 as trade for a New 760 w/o the backup camera. So the cost to me would be $300! Chief od staff has not approved yet, dont know if I really want a 7" screen either. Oh well just thought I would let ya know about the trade in for SOME models. Call and check it out 800-800-1020

I like the Allstays app on the iPhone. It's main claim to fame is finding campgrounds but has filters for clearances, walmarts, fuel stops....
It's my "go-to" app. For basic navigation I like the truck's navigation, for backup I like Google maps on the phone. The truck nav has been pretty wrong a couple of times.

I also use Allstays for truck stops to locate diesel fuel along with the campground finder. These are not free apps, but I think they are worth the money.

the problem with the truck nav is it won't account for the larger trailers. Ford should have thought about that.

Yeah Steve, it wasn't free but I recall paying $10 or so for it. A one time cost too.
The CO that makes Allstays has a family of Allxxx apps that seem to be lesser variants of Allstays. There's one that locates WalMarts and shows if that store allows overnighters. I recall it being free.

It won't prevent this? @ 0:30

Note the delivery truck turning off- knew better! (Honey, the air conditioning isn't working and I'm hot!)
