That's rare, huh!
How you making it? I've just been busier than usual, taking advantage of the beautiful weather we've had the last few days.

You on shore Mitch? You timed it just right.

I got that massive hunk of aluminum & steel cleaned up, drained, capped & ready to go to the builder.

Fighting with the multi-piece drive shaft today. Got the u-joints out with my iddy-biddy vise.

Trying to figure out how to handle the carrier bearing... I gots' no press. Still got to order a bunch of stuff.

Decided to let the pros handle the carrier bearing. Dropped off the drive shaft section at Jackson Powertrain. They change enough of them on a regular basis that I figure their suppliers are pretty reliable (Yukon dealer, also). Read so many horror stories about different brands (foreign/Chinese) I didn't think I'd ever select the right one.

We'll see if it runs smooth with no shake/vibration for a good long time. Fingers crossed.

Damn cold comes back tonight. Mid to high 20s.

Yes sir, I have been home about 10 days or do, beautiful weather the last few days anyway. But, as you said, here comes the cold again.

I found a dollar on the ground Friday.

Stacy, glad you're still around & not a popsicie... yet.

The E4 is loaded in the Escape & making a trip to the shop for a rebuild Monday. Thanks to Thomas & I hope he didn't throw out his back helping me load it.

Y'all have a great week & I hope Stacy don't git covered in ice.

Hi Tim, thanks for stopping by.

Dropped the E4 off at PATC in Bossier City yesterday. Got the OK from my boss to spend some serious coin on its build. Met a cuz from TX who drove over to have lunch with us. Beat a path back down I-20 home before the temps dropped below freezing.

Only problem is now I have to build up the 5.8 to match the capabilities of the tranny...

Y'all can have all that you want. Too much of a PITA (Mardi Gras) to me, at least it is in NOLA. Not as bad in other locales.
