I'm also curious to see how you like the new truck in comparison to your current one. I've never been a brand basher, and the competition is pretty fierce at the moment. I don't think anyone makes a bad truck.

Yup. Lots of folks just can't handle the fact that we live in a global economy.

I'm not a brand basher either, but please don't get started on that global economy horse $#!t...
Working with our border countries makes good sense - it's all North America...

I would have to agree about Ford's interiors being inferior to the Ram. Just sitting in the Ram is a beautiful thing, very little plastic if any, nice soft leather, I could see myself sitting in one.

No, I believe he was being sarcastic about the derogatory comment about the RAM being built in mexico, and asking where the 6.7 ford is built.

And while it may not be assembled in mexico, rest assured that MANY parts and components are produced OUTSIDE the good ol' U.S. of A., anyone ever heard of CHINA?

Are the trucks built in Mexico?

I thought he was talking about how the 6.7L Powerstroke engine is cast in Brazil and assembled in Mexico.

RAM HD trucks are built in Mexico by a foreign company (Fiat)!

On the other hand Ford trucks are built in the US using the most US made supplied parts and most importantly by an American company. Big difference....

I've bashed the 6.0 PSD back in the day I owned my 6.0 PSD and I purchased an 05 RAM/cummins for farm and ranch work in '12. After 1.5 years of constant nagging repairs I unloaded the POS RAM and purchased a Super Duty 7.3 PSD and now my phone is quite.

Meh, I guess so. I'd happily buy one if it was the better value.

I personally Love my Ford's! That being said, I'm like Tom here, I'm ultimately loyal to my personal bank account, and there's just not a large enough disparity between the two brands to warrant me to switch. While the Ram has the best interior and ride at the moment, at the end of the day the Ford suited my purposes more. Now if I already had a bad taste in my mouth for either brands corporate branch, (as the OP has with Ford Motor Co.) and I was making extremely long trips as does the OP, the Ram for him was a no brainer, rides better, nicer interior and maybe he'll have better luck with Ram or Fiat or whomever is holding the torch this month. Then again, maybe not.....
It will take a lot to get me to purchase a truck other than a Ford, but I don't begrudge any man doing what he thinks his best option. Anyway, best of luck, I personally think all the new trucks from the big three are great, and you can get a lemon in any one of them, as in your case, customer service can make or break the final decision.

Bingo. The 6.7 engine is produced in Brazil and Mexico.

None of the Big 3 are 100% american anymore. Hell, my Fusion was built in Mexico and my F-350 was built in Canada.

The Toyota Tundra is built in the USA with a USA built engine and tranny.
I'd much prefer to buy USA made products, however I value reliability and the support network much more than if Joe or Jose builds my truck.

I have had a few Mopars, and vowed never to get another one. That's just my experience with them. Good Luck! I hope everything works out for ya.
