5.8 oil pan reinforcement rail (AKA oil pan flange)
Anyone knows where I can get a set? Local dealership says that they are discontinued and are almost $90 per side, Ouch! Bought a fairly complete 1994 5.8 motor from a local recycler, heard it run, and looked decent from above. When it was delivered I saw that the oil pan gasket showed obvious signs of leakage. Noticed that both reinforcements were missing and looks like the PO may have used some type of sealant as opposed to a gasket. May need to verify if the correct bolts are needed when I find a set of reinforcements.
Here is a link to what I need but for the 5.8. https://www.npdlink.com/store/produc...4994-6102.html
While on the subject of oil leaks, the oil sending unit looks like it was leaking too, so I'll be replacing that and hope that will take care of that leak.
The elbow for the PCV hose, located on the passenger side valve cover needs replacing too. It looks like a cover/elbow type of configuration. Not even sure if that is the correct type since it too leaks. Any one with a pic of the correct type would be helpful when I look for a replacement.
