Degrading interior plastic parts, repair solutions?
I'm sure you have seen on your truck, the interior panels turning into a white, chalky, degrading heap in front of your eyes. You can scratch chunks out with a fingernail. I think they were made from a soybean base.
Besides making new with 3-D printing, is there a way to seal the dusty plastic, and then "fill" in the scratches, and get ready for SEM interior paint?
Or are we just SOL?

I have the same problem.. where it seems that this stuff is just cracking and falling off, or breaking into a powder. From what I've seen others do, Most sand it down and prep and paint. There are a few posts on these forums where people have redone their panels and they look pretty good...
Once I get a few other things done to my truck, I'll be tackling it myself...

Mine were blue originally, they were tan when I bought the truck from the same problem. I took a soft wire brush and brushed them all clean, back down to blue. cleaned them up then painted them back with the Duplicolor vinyl and fabric paint. Stuff is OK but it's chipping off in places. I guess I'll re do them sometime with SEM.
