taillight issue
Well i pulled a trailer with my 2000 excursion today and now i have no lights in the back except the third brakelight. ALL fuses seem to be good, the hazards flash in the front and the turn signals flash in rapid fashion like a bulb is out. When i hit the breaks the trailer brake helper also lights up. Right now my thought are maybe the trailer over loaded the turn signal multifunction arm and it needs to be replaced and since i have not owned it its whole life i do not know if the recall was ever taken care of. Or the other thought is maybe a relay is bad. Any theories are appreciated. On a side note i did the 3/8 tubing door seal mod and it worked great. The doors no longer rattle when you close them, if you havent done it, i would recommens it.

Regarding your issue, a little bit more info on the symptoms. You have no lights whatsoever out back except the third brake light, correct? No turn signals, no running lights, no main brake lights, etc?
Flasher relay is up under the dash - could be bad.
You said all the fuses look good, just for the sake of asking - are all the bulbs intact? I don't know how but theoretically if you plugged up the trailer harness with the lights on the ad turned on it could have wreaked havoc.

There is a maxi-fuse up under the hood that blew out on mine after towing a trailer with a short in it...caused me to have no brake lights, but the rest seemed to work OK. Don't recall if I had the hyper-flash issue when that happened or not.
That quick flash thing seems to indicate blown bulbs. If the bulbs are still working, I'd look up and check that maxi fuse under the hood...if not THAT, then I'm all out of ideas.

Yes you are correct, nothing out back wxcept the third brake light at, when i put the 4 ways on that flash normal out front and in the dash and the turn signal just work like the rear bulbs are burned out, i checked the driver side light and it was fine so i kinda stopped there in that theory. Ill have to go back over the naxi fuses just to make sure. And excuse me if im wrong but i thought an oasis report was only for Diesels?
