Good morning Wisconsin, happy July! Sorry I haven't been around much. Knee replacement went well, down to one crutch now. Hopefully I can drop the pain pills in a day or so.
Glad to hear everything went well Pat! How long has it been now since the surgery? Good to see you posting again!
Andy, it's been two weeks today. Doing pretty well, got the staples out yesterday, and that helped a lot. I could feel them pull when I bent my knee, and that drove me nuts! Hopefully I can ditch the last crutch this week, and use the cane for a day or two.
Pat, sounds like it is going pretty well, good to hear! So after going threw it what do you think of those people that mention going back to work the next day or within just a few days?
I think they'd be idiots. Or full of it. You wouldn't be able to sit at a desk for more that a little while, without having to elevate the leg, it would hurt like crazy!
Thats what I figured Pat, but I guess to it depends what kind of operation they had too. I hear there is more than a few different options for replacements.
If you just get orthoscopic surgery, you can usually go back shortly afterwards, if you have a desk job. They kept me home quite a while after both of mine, since my job has lots of stairs, and I have to walk an awful lot.
