It would be nice to get the chapter back to where it was 7 or 8 years ago with 10+ members at meets.

I got projects also.
A 68 f250 resto and some chapter things that should have been done years ago.

meh...not much making chip spitters out of junked chainsaws...IE: Someone junks a Stihl MS290 because they ran crap gas in it or no oil, scored the cylinder and piston, if they don't want it back I pay the estimate fee and take it home and clean the cylinder and put a new piston and ring set in it...and go through the whole saw to make it as close to new as I can. Then I sell it, based on it's condition with a full disclosure of the work done...and I only use oem parts...and tune each one in the cut so it gets full chain speed without leaning out and burning down....

Do you do any plain restoration jobs? I have an old Johnsered I'd love to get working again, pretty sure all it needs is a carb job.

Good Afternoon New Hampshire!

Yes I do...I've done a few old Jonsereds...I've been doing Mccullochs lately too. I'll work on anything. With chainsaws though I go through 'em and clean out everything...there's always crap packed in the cooling fins. By day I'm a Small Engine Mechanic at a Stihl Dealer, and by night I'm an Everything and Anything Mechanic at Pat's Shed/Shop. Usually if It's broke or running like crap I can fix it. I have been called Rainman due to my ability to remember numbers and just about everything else.

Dan, How's the Toro? Or have ya even used it yet?
