Happy New Year.....January BS thread
#766
Good morning everyone.
Hopefully it is decided quickly and correctly. Guilty(IMO)
That's right Randy. All we can do as parents is instill the good values and hope that the kids retain them. A LOT has to do with the parents and how they act toward and around their kids. Good in = good out(typically) and bad = bad (typically)
On the bold part, you couldn't be more right there....
I know, he lived down the road from us for a year or so when I was in JR High.
No father around(that I know of), mother around sparingly. Only other people I ever saw there were his 2 older sisters. Always in trouble and causing trouble.
You guys are doing a great job with your kids and with you two as examples they will be great adults.
I don't have all the details like the jury, but I have pretty high confidence in the judicial system. What's really effing things up is the witnesses that couldn't identify their own mothers driving down the street in a moving car let alone a perfect stranger...
I really felt badly for his mother in an interview she did the other night. As parents all we can do is do our best to instill good values in our children and as they grow and watch us, hopefully we're being good examples for them. Once they're into the school system, they're faced with peer pressure and influences totally out of our control. Hopefully those basic values will survive and the sense of right and wrong survive..
Apparently that was not the case for this guy..

It is something to see the people this has brought into our courts.
I really wonder about today's society and how my kids are going to turn out. Like you said all you can do is your best and hope they aren't skewed by some other kid. That has to be at the top of the fear list for a parent. Especially parents like us, a teacher and a cop. I pray our children don't rebel and go astray.
Well on that note time for coffee!
